Coopers CSA Farm Happenings for February 26-29 2020 Week 8

Posted on February 21st, 2020 by Coopers CSA Farm

We keep busy on the farm but we still manage to get out in the community and volunteer a little bit. One of Lisa's long term projects has been The Uxbridge Farmers’ Market. She was the founder, has served as president and treasurer, and to this day is the market manager over seeing the week to week operations of the market. For 20 years, through 3 moves Lisa has been the driving force behind this market and last week her market was recognized by Farmers Market of Ontario as the 2019 Market of the year. The picture is Lisa receiving the award from FMO president Jay Howell. Lisa also did an awesome presentation to a large crowd of market managers, vendors, and farmers about what makes the Uxbridge Farmers Market work. If you ask her she’ll tell you in one word -BEER! The market is every Sunday starting in late May and runs until the end of October. It’s located in the parking lot of The 2nd Wedge Brewing Company in downtown Uxbridge. Way to go Lisa!!!
