Well there’s a photo from the past. Lisa and I posing with our banner from winning Ontario’s Outstanding Farmer award in 2010. We were also named Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers that same year too. We are still active in the organization as “veteran” alumni attending the event each year. Next week we are off to Fredricton NB to catch up with old friends and meet new ones and find out who the 2019 Outstanding Young Farmer will be.
- so with Lisa and Steve away that means the young folks will be running the show. Trenton, Kelsey and Jarrett will be making sure everything gets done
- our friends at Zephyr Organics just up the road have some nice bok Choy coming out of their tunnels so we grabbed some of that from them for you this week.
- We added a couple more types of squash from our storage
- last week for greenhouse tomatoes and lettuce for a little while. Our supplier Links Greenhouses in Bowmanville shut down, clean up and replant at this time of year. There will be lettuce again soon, followed by cucumbers in February then new greenhouse tomatoes for hopefully early March.
As always we like our boxes and red bags back to re use.
