Week 15 Sept 18-23 Cooper's CSA Farm BEEF!

Posted on September 15th, 2018 by Coopers CSA Farm

Hope everyone is enjoying the extended summer heat.

There is almost no extra inventory of beef left after we built the share so there is very little option for swapping. We will have this rectified next month. We're still struggling on how to balance out a share in Harvie when everyone wants to swap for top steaks. Less than a 1/4 of the animal yields top steaks, however the goal is nose to tail eating utilizing the entire animal. We'll get this figured out moving forward. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sign up for our winter share will be next week. Watch your email for the sign up note.

IF YOU WERE ON THE WINTER SHARE LAST YEAR YOU WILL BE SIGNED UP AUTOMATICALLY!!! We will announce the auto sign up date once we have it confirmed with Harvie. If you do not want to be signed up automatically go into your account and uncheck the auto sign up box.

Heat and rain make grass grow. If you have a lawn you know this already as you have been cutting frequently. We will have lots of grass to carry the heard until hard freeze up, hopefully in mid November. The pic was Steve's view after moving fence for the cattle on Friday night. Not too bad.

As always we like our red bags back.

talk again soon.
