Week 14 Cooper's CSA Farm Happenings- Feels like fall

Posted on September 8th, 2018 by Coopers CSA Farm

Well that's quite a change in weather with cooler temperatures. your Farm Box is starting to look like fall with the addition of spaghetti squash, baby leeks, and apples! More carrots this week too, lots to choose from.

We don't grow apples, so we have partnered with Prima Orchards just outside of Port Perry. Rami and his dad are in transition to organic, and have really embraced the low input/minimal spray techniques similar to how we grow our veggies. Because of his growing practices his apples are usually a little smaller, and have a few more marks than standard conventional apples. He's picking right now (so yes super fresh) the variety will be Prima likely, I wont know till I pick them up at The Uxbridge Farmers Market Sunday.

Kelsey wanted me to mention ground beef is back up as an extra. We are fully stocked again. I know some of you have been waiting.

Last week I mentioned winter share sign up and an auto sign up feature. Keep your eye on email, Harvie is developing some new features just for us and they needed some extra time. I expect to be ready late next week to take sign ups. If you dont want to be automatically signed up go into your profile and uncheck the auto sign up box.

Talk next week
