Week 17 of 20 Begins! (5 Monthly Meat shares within 20 weeks)

Only 4 Weeks Left of the Summer 2021 Season

This means if you're a monthly delivery, this could be your last delivery!
Please return all of your red bags and boxes.
If you are not staying on for the winter, leave out a cooler or container for us to put your produce in so that we can keep the bags & boxes.
You can check if it's your least delivery on you HARVIE profile.

Thanksgiving Turkeys

Turkeys will be up in the Extras in Week 18!
- This is the only weekend they will be available so make sure you're watching for them.
If you do not have a share in week 18 (ex. bi-weekly), we will create a "Farm Stand" for you to order and that will be pick up at the farm.

Chicken Specials! Stock Up on Chicken.

We do not have much chicken avaible through the winter as we do not have chickens out on pasture. As we are getting close to the end of the summer season, now is the time to stock up.
Chicken legs are on special!
Cooking Coopers Chicken;
- Be considerate with cooking to 170 internal.
- Our chicken is very lean and does not have water/salt filler in them like the grocery store.
- This means if you cook it too long, it will get very dry.
Our Favourite Way to Cook our Chicken:
- Thaw Chicken Night Before
- Remove so it becomes room temperature before cooking
- Light drizzle of olive oil then season as desired
- BBQ:
  - Get really hot so you can sear each side of chicken
  - Sear each side 3 minutes
  - lower temp and cook until internal 155. (If you don't have a thermometer, GET ONE.)
  - You can always cut into bird to check pinkness.
  - Remove, plate, & enjoy!

Stewing Season

Stewing season has now begun so we had lots of stew beef cut to keep up with demand!

Maze Tickets- Opening Weekend September 18th!

As a member, we are offering 4 tickets to you for being such an awesome member in our CSA program.

How to get your tickets:
- Ticket can be acquired on our website; Visit Coopers Website
- Select "Buy Maze Tickets"
- Select Coopers 10 acre corn maze
- Select the date & time slot that you would like to visit
- Select the CSA member option
- Put 4 tickets in your cart
- Enter the code under each ticket so that you get 100% of each ticket
- You will be able to purchase more tickets as needed within the same transaction. Simply select general admission ticket.
- With each ticket you also get one U-Pick Pumpkin from the field to take home

Winter Season Sign Up Open:

We have our winter CSA sign up open !
- We have have limited spots available during the winter as we like a little less work so we can relax from the busy summer season.
  - We open it up to members first to sign up before we open it up to the public.
- We will have a new Pick up location available at the Market Brewing Co. in Newmarket;
  - Pick up locations save you $ on delivery fees & you can visit the brewery as they often have fun things going on!

SHOP THE EXTRAS:

If you enjoy our pre-made meals, maple syrup, honey, jams, baked goods etc. You can order these items in the extras section on your Harvie account. As members, we make a well stocked inventory specially for you.
You will see these on the customizing screen.

Please Return Boxes & Red Cooler Bags

Yes! We REALLY want these back.
Red Bags
- Remove you sticker with your name on it
- Leave the water bottle inside it.
Plastic Produce containers:
- Green, small containers
- Strawberries often come in these
Egg Cartons
- We only accept 12 whole cartons
- Must be clean
Mason Jars
- Must be the mason jar style
- 1L, 500 ml, or 250ml
- Must be clean

DO NOT RETURN:

Compostable Green Bags: Dispose of in your green bin or garbage.
Plastic Coopers Bags: Dispose of in garbage (we are switching to composable bags)
Plastic Containers: Recycle
Maple Syrup Jars:
- Unfortunately we cannot reuse these
- Please recycle
Non-Mason Jars:
- Ex. Spaghetti Sauce Jars
- These are not resealable OR the right sizes, we cannot use these.
