** PLEASE READ THE FARM HAPPENINGS**

This is where we let you know important updates, news, specials happenings etc. Very Important stuff!

Current Updates:

  1. Reminder- Change to Cut Off Time:
    • The cut of time is moved to Sunday night vs. the normal Mondays. You will still have 2 full days to change your box & shop the extras.
    • We have had a huge increase in sign ups and the amount of extras items being purchased. We now need Mondays just to get prepared!
  2. Last Winter Delivery:
    • This is the last delivery of the winter! SO, please return your boxes & red bags.
  3. Asparagus: We have had some funny weather (meaning really freaking cold!)... so the asparagus has had some struggles getting going, BUT now that the weather is getting warmer, it is finally starting to grow and we may have some to harvest mid way through the week. This means you may receive some in your share (even if you didn't put it in your box). If you happen to get some & do not like asparagus, you can gift it to friends or family.
  4. Summer Sign Up:
    • We have a record breaking numbers of sign ups for shares- we may close sign up soon & mark them as "sold out". SO, this means if you have not sign up & would like to... you need to ASAP!
    • Reminder: Chicken Share is on a wait list until July. Email us to get on the waitlist.

COOPERS FARM HAPPENINGS:

  1. We are finally really getting some work in!:
    • After having a record breaking cold May, we were quite delayed getting plants outside. Now that the temps are looking much warmer, we can confidently start planting in the field.
    • Los Mexicanos have completed their quarantine period & are in tip top health, so they are back in the fields getting the strawberries & other vegetables planted!
  2. Spring Babies:
    • We've had more calves, more baby chicks, & now we have piglets coming in the next couple of days!
  3. Visiting The Farm This Summer: We are looking at reservation style visits where you can come with a couple of friends or family. We are even looking into "Dog Days" where you can bring your furry friends to walk around a designated trail.
  4. Farmers Markets: Uxbridge, Newmarket/Aurora are changing their market style to "Food Hub" so you can pre order from our online store and have it delivered to the market locations. See the markets websites for when they are open & how they are working with social distancing.
  5. Online Store:
    •  As members you have an 'Extras' section to shop in that is fully stocked for you, so take advantage of it!
    • If you have friends & family that are looking to shop with us but not want to sign up. We have some items available on our new online store. https://cooperscsafarm.square.site/. For pickup at our farm or participating farmers markets
  6. Refer a Friend:
    • Reminder that if you share your 'Refer-a-friend' link from your HARVIE profile, and it results in a sign up, you AND that person who signed up will receive $25 each in credits to shop in the extras section.
