Week 13 of 14 Winter/Spring 2020 Vegetable Share: Cooper's CSA Farm Happenings

** PLEASE READ THE FARM HAPPENINGS**

This is where we let you know important updates, news, specials happenings etc. Very Important stuff!

Current Updates:

1. Change to Cut Off Time: 
   • The cut of time is being moved to Sunday night vs. the normal Mondays. You will still have 2 full days to change your box & shop the extras.
   • We have had a huge increase in sign ups and the amount of extras items being purchased. We now need Mondays just to get prepared!
2. No More Shopping In Store-Shop the Extras on your Harvie account! 
   • We are moving to pre-orders only for shopping. If you normally come to the store on Saturdays to come in and shop, that is no more. The extras section that comes with your share notification is stocked up specially for members so you have lots of options to choose from.
   • The farm store will only be for pick up of your shares & online orders. If you miss the cut off time to shop for extras with your share, all of our inventory for our farm store is now online store for you to choose from. (these have to picked up at the farm on Saturdays-nodelivery). https://cooperscsafarm.square.site/
3. Summer Chicken Shares Waitlisted: 
   • If you haven't sign up for the chicken share, you will not be able to until July-ish. Please email us to be put on a waitlist.
4. SUMMER Coopers Egg Share on Hold: 
   • Due to the COVID-19 situation, our laying hens are not coming to us until June. This means we will be behind on eggs SO we are putting summer sign ups on hold for now. 

COOPERS FARM HAPPENINGS:

• Los Mexicanos are here!!: 
  • A very welcoming site to see our guys arrive this week. They will be doing a 2 week quarantine then they will be getting to work out into the fields! They are truly experts in the fields and we are very grateful for all that they do.
• Spring Babies: 
  • Calves will be arriving over the next month and we have our 2nd batch of baby chicks which are now a 4 days old. 
• Asparagus: 
  • The spears are already starting to pop up! We are hoping to get a harvest this weekend if the weather stays warm! We cant commit to putting them in the box at time of writing, we dont know how much if any we will get.
• Planting: 
  • Our first planting of sweet corn and peas has been seeded, and next week we are looking to plant strawberries & potatoes.
• Summer Sign Ups: 
  • If you haven't signed up for summer yet, you should! Shares are filling up fast.
• Online Store: 
  • As mentioned above, as members you have an 'Extras' section to shop in that is fully stocked for you so take advantage of it!
  • If you have friends & family that are looking to shop with us but not want to sign up. We have some items available on our new online store. https://cooperscsafarm.square.site/. For pickup at our farm store only.
• Refer a Friend: 
  • Reminder that if you share your 'Refer-a-friend' link from your HARVIE profile, and it results in a sign up, you AND that person who signed up will receive $25 each in credits to shop in the extras section.

~Return Bags, egg cartons & Boxes~

Yes you can return these items!

1. Remove the sticker.
2. Break down the box so its flat (push the bottom in until it releases, then pull the tabs out)
3. Quickly clean them and leave them outside for the delivery driver to grab
4. If you pick up at the store, we have a spot for you to leave them.
5. Egg Cartons, Bags & jars can be left with the box as well.

If you &/or your family are currently quarantined, Please keep your items for now.
