Welcome to Common Roots Urban Farm CSA 2020. We couldn’t be happier to have you and certainly appreciate your business in these difficult times. 2020 is turning out to be an interesting case study of a year. With a mild winter, prolonged spring and perpetual social tumult, we are aware of our fragile place in the world and grateful to be able to do what we love.

Every year presents new obstacles and challenges for us to maneuver through; making adjustments and figuring out how to best serve our customers. After our extended winter, we reconfigured our crop timeline. Recently we weathered a thunderstorm that cast large hail on our fields, turning our head lettuce in to chopped salad, shattering holes in the front of our hoop house, and killing lots of delicate flower seedlings. So, we assessed the damage and are moving forward. Thankfully, a lot of our crops are under protective netting or aren’t big enough to incur too much damage.

The farm still stands strong. We are looking forward to bringing you some great fruits and veggies throughout the season, regardless of the weather.

Rocky start or not, we are ready to go. We are making sure that all appropriate and applicable safety measures are being taken to ensure the safety of our members and our community.
It is our pleasure to be your farmers and we hope to be an integral part of your seasonal veggie consumption!

Eat well and be happy.
