Farm Happenings for September 24th, 2022

The customization period for this coming Saturday's (Sept. 24th) farm share is now OPEN and will remain so until nearly midnight tonight (Thursday)!  If you'd like to review or edit the items in your harvest NOW is the time to do so.  Once again, we have a robust list of crops available for this week's harvest , so if you do want to delete, swap, or add items you have some choices available to you.  If the link in this email doesn't connect you to your customization page, you can always log directly into your Harvie member account and customize from that location. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need help with customizing your share.

This week's photo: For years now this has been our basic breakfast template: eggs w/ bread or another carbohydrate (this time Bellingham Pasta's fresh Spinach Fettucine), fresh fruit, and often a salad, usually made w/ Cedarville greens (this time it's Cedarville tomatoes w/ our basil and some feta cheese), a cooked vegetable (chard, broccoli, beans ~ something green), a small portion of meat or protein (Alluvial Farm's pork or Bellingham Mushroom Farm's Shiitakes are favorites) and finally a cup of good coffee. We can usually put this together in under 25 minutes. Sitting down together to eat before the rush of the day has fully enveloped us is a treasured and grounding moment.
