Farm Happenings for July 22, 2020

Posted on July 18th, 2020 by Mike Finger

Hi, Friends:

We had a good week with full harvests of many crops: broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, and broccoli Raab, to name a few.  This photo of Angela and Debbie attests to the productivity of the farm, but also to the good heart and great energy of our crew.  We are running our weeding equipment several times a week, and doing many follow up sessions of hand weeding as well.  We have planted nearly all the ground we have easily available, and are rapidly cleaning up some beds from their first harvest and preparing them for follow up plantings. The coming week promises to be dry and fairly warm, so we'll be hustling to keep the irrigation going and in good repair (nothing stops a farmers' heart like a broken sprinkler line during dry weather.) Thank you so much for your membership.  If you have any questions about your share or how to work with the Harvie system, we hope you'll contact us.  ~ Mike, Kim, and Crew, Cedarville Farm
