Farm Happenings for September 25, 2020

Posted on September 23rd, 2020 by Christina Houston

Good morning and happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather. Today, it will be hot, but those days are slowly leaving us. We've been having really good success with the markets. Lots of loyal customers come to our farm stand in Reading every week. It's a great experience. Sometimes, we have leftovers that won't make it to the next market. Rather than let it go to waste, you may see these items in our Honor Stand in Agriculture when you pick up your box. We don't ever buy items to purposely fill our store as we would like to just fill it with everything we harvest, but we also don't want food to go to waste. If you know anyone who likes tropical items, please let them know to check out our farmstand for a really great deal.

This week, we have some broccoli and cauliflower from our neighborly farm friends. The cauliflower is pretty big and may be sitting outside the box like the watermelon, except I will put them in bags for you. Please remember the pickup time is after 2pm on Friday. I will be working extra hard Friday morning prepping your box to make sure it looks amazing. I hope you have enjoyed your subscription. If you would like to give a testimony with your experience, we would greatly appreciate that. We can leave your feedback anonymous. We are currently getting ready for a CSA to start in November and would like to show our potential customers the great things to expect with our CSA program.

Thank you for your support. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
