Farm Happenings for May 9, 2020

Posted on May 8th, 2020 by Charmaine Peters
Hello Residents,

We hope this message finds you and your family well. We realize you have already received a "Time to Customize your Farm Share" email yesterday. Some of you may have already made changes. Unfortunately, we've just been informed that the May 9th delivery was involved in a Harvie server database loss. That means we've needed to re-create the May 9th delivery and resend it to you all. Since it's already mid-morning, we've already been out in the fields harvesting produce, as it's crucial to pick veggies before the heat sets in. As such, you will not have the opportunity to customize this share, however it will still be built based on your set preferences. We're really sorry about the inconvenience and hope you understand this was out of our control. We promise to still delivery you a tasty, freshly picked, share tomorrow between 9AM-10AM. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at farm@myardenfl.com

Sincerely,
Tripp & Carmen

Maintaining strong connections to the land, your neighbors, and the people that grow your food can help keep you grounded and healthy. In order to ensure our ability to continue providing organic vegetables to our residents in the days and weeks to come, we are acting out of caution and safety for the farm, crops, and staff. As of now, the Farm and Barn will be closed until further notice.

We know that fresh vegetables are essential to the health and wellness of your households. Please know that we are taking all precautions to keep our produce safe. We are following the CDC’s best practices for protecting the health and wellbeing of our community. As such, we will be bagging everything up for you while using gloves. We are modifying our regular distribution in order to continue to offer Farm Shares.

Starting Wednesday, March 18, all Farm Shares will be home delivered until further notice. If you have a Wednesday pick up, your farm share will be delivered between 4PM-5PM. If you have a Saturday pick up, yours will be delivered between 9AM-10AM. The farmers will leave your bag on the front porch. For everyones safety, please do not feel the need to greet them. You are responsible for grabbing the bag in a timely manner in order to maintain freshness. If you are uncertain about when your delivery is, please login to your account at www.harvie.farm and click on the “deliveries” tab at the top.

Please know that we are working hard to ensure there is no interruption of production and distribution of our produce to the community. If there are any changes, we will send you another update. Thank you for your support as we adapt to the changing circumstances. By working together we can continue to support a healthy community.

Sincerely, your farmers,
Tripp & Carmen
