Farm Happenings for August 14, 2018

Posted on August 10th, 2018 by Aeros Lillstrom

Howdy folks,

As much as it is important to showcase our vegetables and the ways in which we do things on the farm, its also important to showcase the people that make it happen everyday.

Here is a video of one of our farm hands Iris Arevalo.  She is from an area she calls the Jungle but is characterized as a lowland area with lots of trees and is regularly hot! Here she is flating tomatoes 100 miles an hour b/c on the conveyor there are a hundred pounds waiting.  There are 4 people in the field harvesting the tomatoes and harvest is done fast so Iris has her work cut out for her.  This is her second season here and she's better at it than I am.

We're lucky to have her!  Very motivated, never complains and has one speed with everything she does on the farm, FAST!  It's this kind of professional attitude and work ethic that is critical to the success of our vegetable farm.  Our modo is, "Just GO!  GO!  GO!"  She fits in well.

Enjoy the Eating Season b/c it seems to be passing by quick.

Thank You
