The Holidays are upon us & it's time to start loading your box with some Thanksgiving staples. Check out the Thanksgiving shopping checklist based around our Harvie Thanksgiving cookbook!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, have you pre-ordered your Turkey? Our growers are rounding up final numbers. To guarantee your bird, make sure to order before 11-12.  After that date, stock will be limited and orders will be first come, first serve. Last turkey orders will be accepted 11-19.

Already pre-ordered? Frozen turkeys will be delivered this delivery (11/16 - 11/17) and fresh turkeys delivered 11/23 & 11/24.  Please make sure to continue reading to understand all Thanksgiving schedule changes.

Thanksgiving Schedule Update:
You can see your Thanksgiving schedule - harvie.farm/member/deliveries. Please note your box may not come at the normal delivery time as we have an increased volume in drop offs. For this delivery, your customization window will be Thursday, November 18th - Friday November 19th.

Already Skipped?
Already skipped your delivery? You can unskip in your profile here. Going out of town? Update your location to “Donate your share to 412 Food Rescue” to send a Thanksgiving box to someone in need.

Have you bought your Turkey yet?
This year, Harvie has two PA farms offering Turkeys. Clarion River Organics (Schmucker Family Farms) and Sensenig Farms. Read on to decide which one to buy!

Organic, pasture-raised turkeys from Clarion River Organics, Sligo PA
Schmucker Family Farms has been raising 150 birds over the last six months for Harvie members. These pasture-raised birds forage on grubs & greens and are let outside to wander and forage during the day and brought back inside at night- the image above is from this years Schmucker Family Farms birds! They’ve been finished off with some Organic Butternut squash that was also grown by Schmucker Family Farms. Pasture-raised is generally hailed as the pinnacle way to raise animals.

Free-range turkeys from Sensenig Turkey Farm, Elizabeth Township PA
Sensenig Turkey Farm is a family-owned farm operating in eastern PA since 1948. Their free-range turkeys are raised in large, open-air barns. They are able to partake in natural behaviors like scratching and walking around since they are not confined to cages. Free-range turkeys come at a lower price point than pasture-raised and are an excellent choice for families who are looking for a healthier, more ethical choice than your typical grocery store turkey.

Share the Bounty This Holiday Season

We're partnering with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank this holiday season to provide meals for families facing hunger. We know hunger is a complex problem that affects our community on a daily basis, and together we can help our neighbors be more food secure.

Right now, for every friend that you refer—in addition to $25 in credits—we will donate 100 meals to the Food Bank to distribute. Please help us reach our goal of donating 10,000 meals! All you need to do is share your referral link, and for every person that signs up we’ll donate 100 meals on your behalf!
