Thanksgiving Gratitude and Farm Fresh Goodness ??

Posted on November 16th, 2023 by Lynne Schultz

Dear all,

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude to each of you. This time of year allows us to reflect on the wonderful support and community that surrounds us, and we're especially thankful for all of you, our fantastic CSA members. Your unwavering support makes a tremendous difference to our farm, and we're truly grateful for it.

As we prepare to gather around the table and celebrate Thanksgiving, we're delighted to share that the farm is brimming with fresh produce to complement your dinner spread. Thanksgiving provides an opportunity to appreciate the abundance of the year and the blessings that have come our way.

This week, we're highlighting the versatile and nutritious cauliflower. Here are some fantastic recipes to make the most of this remarkable vegetable:

  1. Cauliflower Mash: Steam cauliflower florets, mash them with garlic, a splash of cream, and a pinch of nutmeg for a creamy, guilt-free alternative to mashed potatoes.
  2. Roasted Cauliflower: Toss cauliflower florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and your favorite spices, then roast until golden brown and caramelized for a delicious side dish.
  3. Cauliflower Rice: Pulse cauliflower in a food processor until it resembles rice grains, sauté with vegetables and seasonings for a low-carb rice alternative.
  4. Cauliflower Buffalo Bites: Bake cauliflower florets coated in buffalo sauce for a tasty and healthier take on buffalo wings.
  5. Cauliflower Soup: Blend cooked cauliflower with broth, onions, and herbs for a comforting and creamy soup.

These recipes offer a variety of ways to incorporate cauliflower into your Thanksgiving feast, adding both flavor and nutrition to your table.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you for being part of our farm community. Your support means the world to us, and we're grateful for the opportunity to share our harvest with you.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with warmth, joy, and the company of loved ones.

Gratefully yours,

The Schultz Family ??
