July is here and it brought the heat!
We've started the broccoli harvest and are hoping for some rain and cooler evenings to keep the plants happy. Broccoli hates the heat, which is why we select heat-tolerant varieties and irrigate regularly to keep them as happy as possible. In a couple of weeks we'll be planting a second succession of broccoli for a late fall harvest when the weather is cool again.
