We've been getting lots of questions about salad mix, specifically the lack of it over the past couple of weeks. The demand this season for our greens has been far more than we could have ever expected. Plus, it's been a hot hot hot summer (and lettuce hates the heat). These two factors have created a shortage of salad mix over the past month. We've been working desperately to get caught up, but the reality is, there's only so much we can do. Some cooler weather and a bit of rain would really go a long way.

In short, we hope to have an abundance of salad again soon. Plus, we'll have spinach again in about a month's time. So be patient. We'll get back on track soon!

Doing any canning/preserving?

This week we're offering tomato seconds (i.e. cracked/blemished tomatoes) in bulk at a reduced price. These tomatoes are great for salsas, chutneys, and for dicing and freezing.

In the "extras" you'll find 3 L baskets (approx 5-6 lbs) for $10.

We're also offering bulk red beets - $12.50 for a 5 lb bag.

Vegetable storage tip of the week:

Store your garlic in a cool, dry place. A cupboard is best. Never put it in the fridge - the cold temperature will cause it to sprout prematurely.

Enjoy your first taste of our 2020 garlic this week!
