June 3 First Pick Up

Posted on May 29th, 2023 by Emily Hendrikx

Hello!

It is the very first CSA pick up of the season, and it is coming in hot (literally 30 degrees all week).

For everyone who is a returning member, thank you, I hope you had a lovely winter, and it is good to see you back.  Since you are old pros, you can skip the next little bit.

If you are a new member, welcome, and I hope you enjoy your share from our farm.  Your share is picked fresh, in some cases, only hours from delivery.

Harvie Tips

Once you receive this email you can begin to customize your share.  Hop on to your Harvie page and swap and add veggies until you are happy with your selection. If you are happy with what ever you get, customization isn't mandatory, you will still get a nice variety of veggies, ranked to your preferences.

Going away and cant pick up the share?  You can have a friend or neighbour grab your veg for you or themselves or there are skip options so you don't pay/receive veggies.  If you have already paid for the whole season, we can add extra veggies to your share for some remaining weeks to make up for the missed pickup.

Both the Rockwood and Farm pick up locations are homes, so watch out for the odd child, dog or bicycle on the drive way.

I hope I haven't left out any thing important, and if you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks again, Its going to be a busy week!  We have been frantically planting, watering, and now the weeds are coming on too.  We have been eating lots of spring salads with radish and turnip, and beautiful spring pho style soups with quick pickled turnips.  To add to this weeks excitement, all the soccers start this week, shipping some beef cattle, the first Georgetown farmers market and kindergarten orientation!

Thanks again, and see you soon,

Emily
