Peas are the BEST!And baby cukes at the CUTEST!

Have you noticed that the weather is rather cool for June? And that the rain has been...well...rather rainy? That's just what peas like and so we have an abundance for Week 3 - eat 'em while you can cuz even with the cool weather peas don't last long. I always feel the same way about summer squash and zucchini. It is the perfect addition to a meal and I add it to spaghetti sauce, grate and sauté it for tacos, grill it with parmesan...or make the Farmer's favorite: Chocolate Zucchini Cake!

You can see in the photo above that the first baby cucumbers have been delivered by the stork. They are super prickly when young - maybe a survival trick to deter greedy deer (which are NOT cute, by the way!). Ahhh! The summer bounty is under way and YOU get to savor every bit of it!
