Farm Happenings for May 21, 2019

Posted on May 17th, 2019 by Lisa Duff

Welcome and welcome back to the Oak Spring FARMily!

A few housekeeping details:

-For our drop spots we try and make it convenient & classy by giving you 2 insulated cooler bags per season. Please remember to bring back your bag each week so you'll always be able to pick up your share in the logo cooler bag. IF you have bags from last year please send them along, we will make good use of them!

-We do this because we LOVE it and believe in how and what we grow. We want to give you the best food we can. If something isn't what you thought it was or should be or if you are missing something from your bag please let us know at your earliest convenience. We love compliments and we appreciate constructive criticism, please share your thoughts and findings.

Mother Nature is smiling upon us and we have much to share with you-please be sure to follow us on the social media outlet of your choice -FaceBook or Instagram- to see videos and lots of photos of what we are doing and how we are growing your food!

WE Oak Springers love tender young spring greens....so

SPRING into your first CSA share with fresh tender Mesclun/Spring mix, spinach, curly kale, Peppermint chard, salad mix, scallions, radishes, fresh herbs, and more!

If your customized box doesn't sing to you make sure your preferences are set accurately and then go ahead and make the changes you want; you have until 5pm Sunday.

Our first Farm to Table dinner is rescheduled for June 8th at 5pm. We had 3 dinners last year that were absolutely lovely, sharing food, conversation and beautiful surroundings.  Consider joining us for a 3 course meal paired with wine with Chef Kevin Brothers. Beforehand join us for  our first ever Laughter Yoga class. That will take place from 3:30-4:30pm right here on the grass in the open air.

Please check out our Facebook and Instagram pages for more information on both events or contact Lisa.

We look forward to growing for you this season.

In gratitude,

Lisa and farm crew
