Farm Happenings for December 12, 2023

Posted on December 7th, 2023 by Lisa Duff

The temps are dropping but it's still toasty in the tunnels on a partly sunny day.

And it is BOUNTIFUL at OSF.

We have been harvesting gorgeous fresh food, flipping beds and planting winter crops for the February and March harvest.

There was a bit of snow swirling in the sky the last couple of days. We hear it could be a snowy winter.

This week you will see Napa Cabbage, big and sweet.  And some fragrant baby fennel.

Check out this delicious Chinese chicken salad recipe, one of my favorite ways to enjoy Napa Cabbage.

It is also wonderful chopped and roasted with olive oil, butter, salt and pepper. Yummy.

We are pleasingly flush with winter goodness right now.

The crops are holding nicely in the field and the tunnel crops are flourishing.

I do have a question for you all...do you much prefer the newsletter in it's fancier format from the summer or is it ok if I write it this way, plain and simple?

Thanks for any feedback you're willing to offer.

big, warm hug,

Lisa
