Weekly CSA Update

Early Summer is an (over)Abundance of Greens!

Wow, there are so many greens in your share the last few weeks! We know it can be a lot. Consider freezing the hardier greens, like chard, spinach, and kale. They will be useful later in the season when leafy greens are a little harder to come by. Cucumbers are starting to come in larger quantities. As mentioned last week, the first of the cherry tomatoes and squash were harvested this week. They are in short supply for now, so if you miss them this week, don't worry, the surplus of these summer staples is coming soon! To help with the bounty of lettuce, we're sharing a delicious Summer Salad recipe this week!

The Berry Report

Though we've had an unusually long strawberry harvest, all good things must end. This is likely the last week for them, but we are starting to be able to pick red raspberries. Look for them in the extras. We'll soon be looking towards black raspberries and then onward to the delicious peaches from Shaw Orchards!

Spice up your week with some extras:

• Oak Spring Farm Strawberries

• Oak Spring Farm Raspberries

• Oak Spring Farm Chipotle Salt

• Daily Crisis Cheese

• Daily Crisis Sweet Cream Butter

• Shaw Orchard Dried Apples

• 100% Grass-Fed Ground Beef

• 100% Grass-Fed Beef Sausages
