First Spring Share of 2023

Posted on April 7th, 2023 by Lisa Duff

We are celebrating spring with daffodils, hyacinths, first buds on the brambles and fresh produce!

This week we're offering lettuce salad mix, arugula, spinach and spicy mix plus the first beets, radishes, and carrots of Spring, all coming from our high tunnels.

We have Shaw-dried apples and local, McCalmount raw, non-GMO cornmeal, plus 100% grass-fed, beef,  hot Italian sausages, and Daily Crisis smoked cheddar and Garlic & Chive raw milk cheese.  We also have white potatoes from Siwik family farms.

Join us on the Oak Spring FARMily Facebook page - a members-only group where we share recipes, storage tips, and fun information about farm life.

Check out the recipe, How to Make Peppery, Nutritious Radish Greens Pesto.

USE those beautiful radish greens!

STORAGE TIPs-OF-THE-WEEK -

Separate the greens from the roots when storing carrots, beets, radishes, turnips, etc., to maximize shelf life.

Jump on the Oak Spring FARMily Facebook page and share what you're doing with your share next week!

Happy Easter, Happy Passover, HAPPY SPRING

with love & Light,

Lisa
