Pickup hours are Thursday 3pm-7pm, Friday 11am-7pm or Saturday 9am-1pm.

FARM UPDATE:

Our Pick Your Own strawberry field will be open again this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for pre-pick. There aren't as many out there this week so we are asking people to only pick what is in their share. Pre-picking helps us out too since we hate to see berries go to waste and we don't have the staff to pick them!

This week we are planting peppers, eggplants and flowers in the Pick Your Own field. On our Monday morning field walk, we saw zucchini and cucumbers that will be ready in a week or two. We also saw pods on the peas! A few lucky people will get PYO peas in their shares this week. If that's not you, know that they are just starting to pop and more will be coming soon! We're harvesting the first broccoli heads for shares this week and the Asian greens are here too! Along with all this planting and harvesting, we are also going to try to do some much needed weeding.

PICK YOUR OWN FIELD:

There is a lot of dill and cilantro in the PYO. The cilantro especially, doesn't like the heat and will bolt soon so pick it while its here! Cilantro rice, cilantro pesto, cilantro pasta salad! The black eyed susans and sunflowers are starting to bloom! Please only pick one while they are in short supply. The feverfew, frosted explosion grass and nigella pods would all make nice filler in with the sunflowers and black eyed susans!

CUSTOMIZING YOUR SHARE:

This email includes the contents of your customized farm share. Please check it out. We hope that the product preferences you chose (or you can update via this link going forward) have created an exciting mix of local foods for you. And if there is something in your share that you don't want, you can always swap or add on to your share up until the cut off time each week. Just look for the customization link near your list of share contents in the email.

ADD ON SHARES:

Please note that if you signed up for an add-on share those items are automatically added to your order. You don't need to choose or swap them. If you didn't sign up for an add on share, this week we have fresh roasted coffee, gourmet mushrooms and cheddar cheese available to purchase as one-time "extras".

TALKS IN THE FIELDS:

This Saturday, June 20th from 2:30-5pm Elyse Jurgen will host a Native Garden Design and Build Workshop. This workshop will take place outdoors and seating will be socially distanced. A hand-washing station is on-site but please wear a mask and bring gloves. In this workshop, gain the basic native garden skills and hands-on experience of converting a section of lawn into viable habitat to support critical wildlife species. Learn more and register for the workshop here

Other Upcoming Talks:

June 26th 7pm-8pm Tai Chi and Gentle Yoga Taught by Elizabeth Swope and Amy Finnegan. Tai chi and Gentle Yoga honors our fluid lunar nature, and invites us to slow down and practice self-care. Gentle movements connect our mind, body and spirit to the farm and earth. Please bring a yoga mat.
