Spring is here and we are busy planting seeds in the greenhouse and pulling weeds in our perennial crops. This week we will be transplanting our broccoli and cabbage into the field. We are feeling fortunate to be able to work outside right now. For the safety of our staff and community, we are practicing social distancing, wearing masks, staggering our work schedule and keeping things extra clean.
Bringing our veggies to you and supporting our local farms
We want to make sure our community has access to local food, so we're opening up our Farm Stand for pre-season One Time Veggie Box sales. You can order this customized local food box from your home and pick it up at Homefields. All boxes are pre-paid online. Your farmers will assemble the boxes for you, and we will offer a drive-through pick up. We are happy to get this early harvest from our farm to you, as well as support our neighbor farms. Some of our farmer friends have lost business due to restaurant closures, so this allows them to get their product to you directly.
How to build your veggie box and details on pick up
Our first Farmers' Friend Box is fully customizable with local products from Homefields and from our add on farm partners. Once you select the box, you'll be able to customize it by swapping items and adding additional items to your cart. If you're looking for lots of products, you do NOT need to purchase more than one box - simply increase the number of items in your box. Sales and swaps will be open until Monday, April 13th at 11:55pm. Our supplies are limited so order early! Boxes can be picked up at Homefields on Friday, April 17th from 2-6pm or on Saturday, April 18th from 9-11am. Just drive in, tell us your name and we'll place your box in your car.
